WHO’S KEN DAHL?

Ken Dahl is the fake name Gabby Schulz has used to draw comics for the past decade — and he’s starting to worry that by now, everyone just assumes Ken Dahl is his real name.

It is not.

Gabby started using the name Ken Dahl when the Honolulu Weekly asked him to draw a regular comic strip, and he didn’t want the nice old ladies at work to know he was drawing such manner of filth. The original idea for the name came from an old co-worker, who used to mockingly call him a Ken doll — because he looked like such a boring, ordinary cracker.

Gabby/Ken’s new graphic novel about STDs, Monsters, is available from Secret Acres.

His other book, Welcome to the Dahl House, can be ordered from Microcosm Publishing here.

There’s also still a few issues of his Monsters minicomics floating around at I Know Joe Kimpel — and when they’re gone, they’ll be gone forever!
